Lessons Learned From A 5K

By Uncategorized No Comments

It’s a warm evening. I feel grateful for the gentle breeze as I stand in the throng of bodies awaiting the start of the race. The sky is a mix of pink, orange and yellow hues against the backdrop of the huge water feature atop the hotel. It’s true. Everything is more magical at Disney. The buzz of excited chatter grows quiet as the announcer gives final instructions: Set an intention for the race. Who are you running/ walking for?…

Why You Are Stuck (and what to do about it)

By Business Growth, Personal Growth, Self Care No Comments

“I feel so stuck!” “I know what I need to do and I’m just not doing it. I find myself procrastinating and I’m freaking out because I’ve so much to do and I’m just not taking action. I’m not making enough money in my business. I’m so disgusted with myself!” Sound familiar? I hear these statements all the time. I’ve said them myself. Then there are those times we don’t even realize that we are stuck. We are busy. Very busy….

A Different Perspective

By Business Growth, Personal Growth No Comments

I’m walking down the aisle, trying to balance the bag on my shoulder so it doesn’t bang anyone in the head as I struggle to navigate the small suitcase on wheels along the narrow path to my seat on the plane. I feel harried and agitated by the time I locate my aisle seat, 21c. Ugh! There’s a rather large man in the middle seat, taking up part of mine. I smile politely as I reach over and pull down the arm…

Scary choices. Big success.

By Business Growth, Personal Growth No Comments

“Success is not an accident. Success is a choice”  ~ Suzanne Evans It was April 2013. I sat in the audience at Suzanne Evans ‘Be The Change’ event in Orlando Florida. I watched as different entrepreneurs went on stage to collect their awards. 10k month awards, 6 figure business awards… 7 figure business awards (what?!).   The room pulsated with energy, music pumping, lights flashing. I felt a familiar sensation building in my body: Excitement and Inspiration. Witnessing this was…

Creating Joyful Success

By Business Growth, Personal Growth No Comments

How do you define Success? What does it look like for you? A 6 or 7 figure business? A beautiful home? High end car? Gorgeous, loving, attentive, wealthy life partner or spouse in your bed? Beautiful, healthy children? Financial and personal freedom? However you choose to define success, getting clear on what you desire is a key part of achieving it. Taking the time to get clear on what you want to achieve, then making a plan for how you…

My Christmas Miracle

By Personal Growth, Self Care 2 Comments

In November I went to the gynecologist as I was having some abnormal bleeding. She ordered some tests including an ultrasound which showed a mass in my uterus (approx 2.5cm x 4.5 cm). She had also discovered a polyp on my cervix and scheduled a hysteroscopy (a procedure where they look into the uterus and take some tissue to do a biopsy to test the tissue for cancer). The procedure was scheduled for the afternoon of December 10th. I was…

The Power of Celebration

By Personal Growth 2 Comments

I’m a big advocate for celebrating – especially the little things. In my family we always celebrated birthdays, Christmas, Easter – the “good” things. Years ago, I read a book by Melody Beattie called “Make Miracles in 40 days: Turning What You Have Into What You Want”, which introduced me to be idea of being grateful and celebrating everything – the good, the bad and the ugly. It makes sense when you think about the energy that surrounds a celebration….

A Shift Begins With Awareness

By Personal Growth, Self Care No Comments

I noticed for the last few days I’ve been feeling a little harried and miserable. This morning, as I emerged from the fog of sleep my first awareness was a nagging, grumbling feeling in the center of my chest. A heaviness of discontent. I tune in and give it my undivided attention, curious as to what’s going on. I realize I have not had my quiet time. My time to simply be. Things have been moving so fast. I’ve been…

Falling Off The Wagon!

By Business Growth, Personal Growth No Comments

Have you ever noticed how hard you have to work just to take some time off? Lol! I just got back from a weeks vacation. (This was major progress because last summer we only did a “Daycation” because I hadn’t planned ahead). I’m really celebrating my growth because I actually rested and relaxed and didn’t do so many activities that I would need a vacation to get over the vacation! (Can you relate?) lol I was so energized when I…

Are You All In?

By Business Growth, Personal Growth No Comments

What does that question mean to you? To me it means: Am I playing full out? Am I invested 100%? (in whatever I am choosing to put my time, energy and money into) I recently realized I have not always been “All in”. I have spent the majority of my life operating at a fraction of my true potential – for all kinds of reasons. Mostly because I didn’t love and value myself enough, cared too much about what other…
