Dynamic and interactive.

The Bahamas Crisis Centre recognized its 30th year of service to victims of violence in Sept. 2012 with a conference themed: “Peace at Home, Peace in the Community”.  Helen MacMillan was the keynote speaker on the final day of the conference which was entitled: Personal Peace-where the shift occurs. Her dynamic and interactive presentation was two-fold. It provided self-care to the audience who were predominantly advocates in the collective campaign to end violence against women, and also to bring awareness to the expanded possibilities of solutions when we operate from a perspective of personal peace. The audience was completely engaged and excited as she introduced new ideas and concepts for the expansion of self while also leaving them with practical tools for self-care.
