A client sent me a message very late one night. “I need to reschedule our appointment for tomorrow morning. I have a job interview I need to prepare for. It’s my dream job and I’m really nervous about it”.
I responded that if she was nervous perhaps it would be good to meet and help her shift into a more confident, powerful place before the interview. She had a ‘light bulb moment’ and agreed.
It was a divine opportunity.
When we met the next morning she was not even fully present in her body. That’s what fear (anxiety, nervous excitement, etc) will do to you. We did a few techniques to ground her energy, open up her power center and boost her confidence by honoring her gifts and talents. We also worked on releasing some resentment she had for not being appreciated at her current job so that she was moving towardsher new job instead of pushing away her current one.
Courageously, she was willing to see, and own, where this was simply a reflection of where she had not been valuing and appreciating herself. This created an opportunity for her to forgive herself and commit to showing up fully as she moved forward in her life.
The result?
She felt calm, grounded and confident instead of nervous. She aced the job interview and got her dream job. She is moving to LA and starts October 1st!
Success is an inside job. As you create a shift in you, everything else shifts too.
It begins with you being willing to (a) take 100% responsibility for what you have created and (b) change what is not working for you.
You have to be willing to invest the time, the energy and the money to get the help you need. To go into the places that scare you. Because just beyond the fear is everything you ever wanted.
You don’t… Scratch that… You can’t do it alone. Because you can’t see you own blind spots. You don’t know what you don’t know.
